No Comments on How To Weaken Eadwyn’s Hold On Oxfordshire In AC Valhalla?

There is no shortage of troublesome characters in Valhalla, and we need to keep the people out of their grasp. One such quest is against Eadwyn during the Oxfordshire arc in AC Valhalla.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is, in essence, a story-driven RPG that encompasses choice-based gameplay in its core. As Eivor, we are not only tasked with many story-altering choices during the main storyline but also with the task of liberating several regions against tyrants.
The scene is set for Eivor during the ‘Chipping Away’ quest, and we set out to find and weaken the hold of Eadwyn over the region. We can find out supplies and enemy hold-ups to deliver our blows, but the tricky part is that the game has provided us with no objective markers at all!
To weaken Eadwyn’s hold on Oxfordshire, players will have to either find out and destroy supply carts, help the warriors in need (fryds) or eliminate the Oxfordshire flag bearers. Perform enough tasks to fill up the meter and complete the quest.
When I first started out this quest, I was hopeless as the game only prompts you when you are near a potential supply. However, knowing the locations beforehand is an immeasurable plus point and should guide you towards victory.
One of the most useful tasks you can do to decrease Eadwyn’s hold is to find and destroy supply carts. These carts need to be destroyed, ignite them using torches or by exploding oil jar. Pick your weapon of destruction and go to town!
There are a couple of locations where you can find supply carts, including the Thaerelea Ruins and near Linforda.
You can also assist the Fryd soldiers in their ambush to weaken Eadwyn’s forces in the area. They are found in three locations.
In the town of Oxfordshire, there is a flagbearer. Eliminate him to send a message directly to Eadwyn to let him know that there’s a wolf-kissed in town!
Doing all of these tasks will fill your meter, and the quest ‘Chipping Away’ will be completed. The next task to head up to the Buckingham Longhouse will unlock.
Developed and Published by Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the latest instalment in the Assasin’s Creed series launched in November 2020. The action-adventure, role-playing video game is available to play on Playstation 5/4, Xbox One/ Series X/S and PC.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla takes players back to the Vikings’ glory days around the 9th century through the eyes of a Viking invader from Norway named Eivor. By playing as Eivor, gamers must represent the clan and help fellow warriors in the battle against Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms. The game brims with phenomenal main quests along with noteworthy side quests. AC Valhalla will also embrace many new features like dual-wielding of various weapons and armours.
