Collaborators on the set, particularly co-producer Tony Visconti, have been vocal on the project’s secret path to completion — not to mention brilliantly off-kilter music videos for “The Stars (Are Out Tonight)” and “Where Are We Now?” offer plenty of conceptual flourishes to decipher. But word from the man himself has remained mum… until now. The Rumpus’ Rick Moody threw a hail Mary out to Bowie’s PR team recently, when (surprise again) he heard back. In search of a “work flow diagram” to help “understand the lexicon” behind his 24th LP, Moody received the following 42 words from Bowie:
